Duke Conservation TechEst. 2016
DCT integrates students from the Pratt School of Engineering and Nicholas School of Environment to tackle conservation projects, working with organisations such as WWF, the U.S. Army Research Dept., and NOAA. Their first project involved the redesign and manufacture of a green LED used to reduce sea turtle by-catch on gill nets. Apporximately 30 students now work on 6 different projects ranging from autonomous systems to embedded electronics. |
